Authentic Learning and Creativity
Dear Educators,
We're busy working on a new unit of our free CyberSmart! Student Curriculum that will engage students in using the Internet to demonstrate creative thought and to solve authentic problems.
Authentic learning
In our lessons, students will learn to how to use the Internet effectively to ask and answer complex questions about real-world problems. In doing so, students will develop the critical thinking skills they need to make informed decisions. We're working with the idea of showing them how the Internet opens up a world of learning possibilities on a daily basis.
Creativity
What better way to spark the creativity in every student than by encouraging him or her to use Internet technologies effectively! We'll guide students to go beyond copy-and-paste answers and to use higher-order thinking skills in their assignments. They'll discover that by connecting online in project teams, collaborative thinking can generate many new ideas.
