CyberSmart! is thrilled to announce the release of our newest lessons on authentic learning adding even more value to our highly acclaimed free CyberSmart! Student Curriculum.
Authentic learning to support core curriculum content.
By definition, digital learning opens up new opportunities for authentic learning experiences with real-world relevance. With these lessons, we provide you with a simple foundation to begin embracing authentic learning experiences that can be easily integrated to support existing core curriculum content. In doing so, you can effectively address the creative thinking skills required to prepare students for the 21st century.
Reusable templates for real world problems
Each of the lessons in this unit provide you with a reusable template that guides students through a multi-lesson project to identify a real world problem and investigate the problem. At the different grade levels students may
- collaborate to propose a solution and communication a written message to an audience outside the classroom
- collaborate to make a real world purchasing decision using critical thinking skills,
- collaboratively locate quantitative and qualitative real-time data,
- and/or learn to manage collaborative teams and select digital tools to support collaborative authentic learning projects.
